The Black Keys are an American rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio, in 2001. Comprised of Dan Auerbach (guitar, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums), they rose to prominence with their blend of garage rock, blues, and lo-fi production. Their breakthrough came with the album Brothers (2010), featuring hits like “Tighten Up.” Subsequent releases, like El Camino (2011), solidified their place in mainstream rock with a more polished sound. Known for their raw energy and gritty blues influences, The Black Keys have won multiple Grammy Awards and continue to be a force in the modern rock scene.
