Killswitch Engage

Killswitch Engage is an American metalcore band formed in 1999 in Westfield, Massachusetts. Pioneers of the metalcore genre, they blend elements of melodic death metal and hardcore punk. Their 2002 album Alive or Just Breathing became a landmark release in the genre. Known for their technical musicianship, powerful melodies, and intense live shows, the band has influenced countless metal acts. Their 2004 album The End of Heartache earned them a Grammy nomination. After a lineup change, original vocalist Jesse Leach rejoined in 2012, and they’ve since continued to release critically acclaimed albums.
