Default is a Canadian rock band formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1999. The band is best known for their post-grunge sound, characterized by heavy guitar riffs and emotive lyrics. Default gained mainstream success with their debut album, The Fallout (2001), which included the hit single “Wasting My Time.” This track propelled them to international fame and earned them several awards, including a Juno Award for Best New Group. Over their career, Default released several successful albums and became a prominent name in the early 2000s rock scene. After disbanding in 2013, the band reunited in 2018 for a series of performances.
