Cody Canada & The Departed

Cody Canada & The Departed is an American rock and country band formed by Cody Canada, the former frontman of the influential Red Dirt band Cross Canadian Ragweed. After the disbandment of Cross Canadian Ragweed in 2010, Canada formed The Departed, bringing a fresh, more rock-oriented sound to his music. The band blends elements of Southern rock, country, and Americana, creating a sound that is both gritty and soulful. Their debut album, This Is Indian Land (2011), was a tribute to Oklahoma songwriters and set the tone for the band’s dynamic style. Cody Canada & The Departed continues to be a prominent force in the Red Dirt and Texas music scenes.
