Bloodywood is an Indian metal band from New Delhi, formed in 2016. Initially known for their metal covers of popular Bollywood songs, the band quickly gained international recognition for blending heavy metal with traditional Indian instruments like the dhol and flute. Led by vocalist Jayant Bhadula and rapper Raoul Kerr, Bloodywood’s music often addresses social and political issues, including mental health, corruption, and inequality. Their debut album, Rakshak (2022), received critical acclaim for its fusion of folk and metal elements, powerful lyrics, and energetic performances, making them one of the most unique and impactful bands in the modern metal scene.
